AARP reported that there are 8 common types of scams that Senior Medicare Patrol volunteers are noticing. These include a new round of COVID fraud, billing for diabetes supplies, flimsy medical equipment, bogus genetic testing, hospice fraud, Medicaid unwinding, next generation Medicare cards, and telemedicine sessions. Patients should check their Medicare summary notices and do not give out Medicare number to unknown individuals.
